Leonard Poteat is a published photographer in the Washington, D.C. area, specializing in wedding and fashion photography. Leonard has an extraordinarily talented eye for capturing beauty and fashion. He is addicted to story telling, and creating beautiful memories for his clients.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Leonard ventured into photography in 2005 shooting freelance for various up and coming artists. His interest in art, graphic design, fashion, and music help shape his visions into creative forms of expression--photography. His work has been featured in BRIDES Magazine, JET Magazine, The Washington Post, KRAVE Magazine, COUNCIL and various fashion blogs. He is also a regular contributor to various wedding forums providing photography advice/tips for brides-to-be.
Leonard has had the privilege to shoot high profile events, such as Congressman John Lewis’ 70th birthday celebration, at which President Bill Clinton and (Former) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were hosts. His favorite past time is watching horror movies, eating spicy foods, and exercising.
